Hopeful Holiday Hacks: How I Turned a $10 Voucher Into My Favorite Christmas in July Yet

Every year, I’ve tried to make Christmas in July a thing for my business. I’ve posted daily deals. I’ve used themed graphics. I’ve even tried full-blown jingle bells energy in 90-degree weather. But it has always flopped harder than a snowball in Florida.

Until this year.

This year, I'm doing absolutely nothing — and yet, something incredible has already started to happen. Ok, ok, I'm doing a little, but definitely not the usual! 😂

A local restaurant sent me a simple holiday card in the mail. No glitter. No digital countdown. Just a warm message and a $10 gift voucher. And y’all…it worked. I felt seen. Appreciated. And yes, I’m going to redeem it. 🤩

That little moment sparked a whole mindset shift. Instead of hustling for attention online this July, I decided to trade in my stress for flip flops — and focus on low-effort, high-impact ways to show up for my audience.

Here’s the 3-day strategy I shared with my Digital Pulse crew:

  • DAY 1: Ditch the Stress, Keep the Cheer

    • You don’t have to do the most to make the most. A kind gesture (like a surprise voucher, coupon code, or heartfelt email) can hit harder than any carousel post. If your people feel seen, they’ll remember you.

  • DAY 2: Flippin’ Smart Marketing

    • If you’ve got a mailing list or email subscribers, you’ve already got your secret weapon. Send them:

      • A quick thank you

      • A small offer

      • A heads-up on what’s coming next

      • Sometimes a well-timed email performs better than a week of content. Trust the personal touch.

  • DAY 3: Easy Wins > Exhaustion

    • The magic isn’t in more — it’s in meaningful. Whether it’s a physical postcard or a digital gift, aim to connect, not just convert. People are over the noise. Give them something quiet, kind, and intentional.

💡 Your Turn: If you’re ready to reclaim joy and strategy this "holiday" season, start with one hopeful holiday hack. Whether it’s a mailed voucher, a heartfelt thank-you note, or a low-key giveaway — give yourself permission to not go overboard.

Here’s to more flip flop energy and fewer burnout blizzards. 🩴🎄
